Extraordinary high-value-added material composite structure “Dual Impact (DI) Theory” is used.

01 To maximize the repulsion force, the hardness of club head must be identical to that of the golf ball.

When objects composed of the same materials collide, “deflection” and “restoration” occur at the same time. This reduces energy loss and significantly increases the efficiency of energy transmission.

Uses a T.C.S. based trajectory adjustment structure.

02 Innovative carbon composite structure, the head hardness is adjusted closely to the softness of the ball through the combination of various materials.

Frame-less design

A common carbon composite head has a frame (skeleton framework) and carbon parts are assembled onto it (Fig. 1). A frame-less design head has evolved from the common carbon head, but productivity is lower and cost is higher due to the metal-frame-less structure. However, this structure can achieve considerable weight reduction and longer ball carry because the whole head is deformed softly at impact (Fig. 2).

Carbon is used for 50% or more of total head surface area

Large flexion of the head is achieved by expanding the carbon material area in the crown and sole surfaces to the limit. Utilizing the weight allowance produced from expansion, the tungsten weight of 25 g is mounted on the deepest part of the back-face area. This structure contributes to an increase in the flexion efficiency of the head and increase of the inertia moment. The structure with low deep center of gravity achieves a higher trajectory.

03 Maximizing repulsion efficiency by “flexing” the whole head softly

beyond structural limitations!

By applying DI theory, the excess vibration of the “whole head” is suppressed, enabling the hardness of the head to approach the softness of the ball. This increases the energy transmitted to the ball at impact, leading to greater initial ball velocity and longer carrying distances.

 T.C.S (angle adjustment function)

It uses T.C.S. (Trajectory Control System) to adjust the loft angle (degree), lie angle (degree), and face angle (degree). This enables the angles to be changed to ±1.5 degrees of that of the loft angle. The trajectory can be adjusted by changing the angle.

To get high trajectory and strong ball contact -> Set to HIGHER.

AXEL VF FAIRWAY WOOD

Unprecedented ultra-low center of gravity is achieved through weight reduction using titanium.

For the FAIRWAY WOOD, highly-repulsive and light weight titanium is introduced for the face and body. Tungsten of 140 g over is mounted on the sole, making up two-thirds of the overall weight of the head. Using the produced weight allowance effectively, we are striving for the achievement of the AXEL series first ever ultra-low center of gravity and carry performance.

Tungsten makes up two-thirds of the head weight.

AXEL VF UTILITY

The face uses high repulsion titanium. Achieves good stability and carry performance.

Titanium is used for the UTILITY too. Combination with a stainless steel body achieves a sense of stability and carry performance through the deep center of gravity and high inertia moment.

AXEL VF IRON WEDGE

The structure varies depending on the club number to achieve the performance required for each.

L-shape maraging steel face and inner tungsten are used for #6, #7, and #8. Tungsten alloy is mounted on the back to balance the carry performance and high trajectory. We strive for stable directivity for #9 and PW by using the maraging steel face and inner weight. Comfortable impact feel is achieved for AW, AS, and SW by using a thick stainless steel face. Easy handling is achieved for Wedges owing to the“ 3D Bounce” design that applies a large bounce angle to the sole center area.

Low Gravity Hollow Structure

Clubs with a combination of various materials and features achieve a low center of gravity even though those have a hollow structure. New normal irons that balance handling ease and carry performance.

High-flex 70t Cross-Carbon x 90t Carbon Sheet Speeder

The shaft was developed jointly with FUJIKURA’s Speeder. It is an ultra-high-speed shaft that achieves the best acceleration feel and maximum impact by using many high-value-added materials and boron fiber.

[A] Boron fiber
Improves reproducibility and stability of swing.
It uses high-value-added materials with high strength, stiffness, and elastic modulus. These are the same materials used for space shuttles and racing car bodies.
[B] High-flex 70t ultra-thin cross-carbon
Suppresses useless oscillation of the head at impact.
[C] High-flex 90t carbon
Accelerates the restoration from flexion.

Ultra-light 37 g shaft based on Air Speeder technology

It comes with an ultra-light 37 g shaft that generates ultra-acceleration, while also using ultra-light 70t high-flex cross-carbon for the grip side and 90t carbon sheet for the head side based on Air Speeder technology.
