TSURUYA GOLF’s Hikone Factory in Shiga Prefecture, marked out by the blue name-board visible from the carriage windows on the Tokaido Shinkansen line,
manages the production of original clubs and customizes and repairs clubs left at our shops by customers.

Head Inspection

  • All heads are inspected for lie angle, loft angle, face angle, and face progression.

  • The weight of every head is measured and they are sorted in 0.5 g increments within the standard range.
    This is to minimize the range of weights when the clubs are part of a set.

  • Assembly

    The grip is the only point of contact connecting a club to a player. Fine tuning of the grip after inserting the shaft requires a delicate feel that is only possible by hand.

  • Club Inspection

    The adhesive strength of each club’s bonding and the strength of its shaft are inspected. Clubs are inspected closely one by one, with the head turned while the shaft is fixed in place.

  • Reshaft

    We have a lineup of popular shaft makers’ products

  • Lie Angle and Loft Angle Adjustment

    This worker is adjusting the lie angle, a major factor in direction and trajectory. Of course, loft angle adjustment is also available at the customer’s request.


  • Color RemovalThe original coating is removed by grinding the head.

  • Sand BlastingThe old coating film is removed completely by blasting it with fine sand particles. Fine hollows and projections develop on the head surface in sand blasting, which can increase the adhesive strength of the coloring.

  • ColoringThe head is recoated after the complete removal of the original coating, enabling a fine finish without color variation.

High Repulsion Processing

  • The thickness of the face surface is measured at seven points.

  • The head is grinded precisely based on the measurement results. High repulsion processing increases the repulsion coefficient of the face so increased initial ball velocity can be expected.

  • Face lines are re-engraved after grinding to finish.

  • After processing, the head is measured again to create a data sheet comparing the measurement results with those before processing.

Super Spin Processing

  • The groove width of an iron is adjusted with a special engraving machine. This enables a dramatic increase in the amount of spin.

  • Grooves can be processed in the range from 0.9 mm to 1.2 mm at 0.1 mm intervals. (The image shows 1.2 mm angular groove processing.)
